Pest prevention contract

A German cockroach carries its egg case until the eggs hatch, and a population settles in fast in a warm kitchen. Waiting until you see cockroaches in broad daylight means acting late. For residents of a building and for a professional kitchen alike, prevention costs less and disrupts less than an emergency treatment.

The annual contract keeps the Repère Protocol running over time: an initial inspection, numbered monitoring traps left in place, visits at a frequency matched to the risk and a file recording every visit. Between visits, a call from you triggers a priority intervention.

Repère Protocol

We find the source before we treat

The Repère Protocol always follows the same order: find where the pests live, treat right there, check with monitoring traps, then fill the gaps and advise the occupants.

  1. 01

    Locate

Initial site inspection, map of warm and damp areas, numbered monitoring traps put in place.

  2. 02

    Treat

Initial treatment of existing hotspots (gel bait, growth regulator, rodent stations) before follow-up begins.

  3. 03

    Check

Scheduled visits: traps read, photo report, treatment adjusted as soon as activity reappears.

  4. 04

    Prevent

Identified gaps filled, prioritised list of works, hygiene advice for staff and occupants, yearly review.

Why ExpertCafard

What it means for you

Frequency set by the risk

A restaurant kitchen and an office block have different needs. The number of visits is set after the initial inspection and reviewed if things change.

A file ready for inspection

Trap plan, readings, products used and their safety data sheets, photo reports: everything is filed and emailed to you after each visit.

Priority between visits

A resident or a member of staff spots a cockroach? You let us know, a technician is booked as a priority and the job is added to the file.

A yearly review to plan ahead

Each year, a review traces how the readings evolved and lists the gap-filling work still to plan, so you can set the budget with the full picture.

Regulatory context

What is expected of you

For food businesses, Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 on food hygiene requires adequate pest control procedures. During a health inspection, you need to show how pest control is organised and followed up.

For residential buildings, the règlement sanitaire départemental and the duty to let homes free of pests apply all year. Either way, dated and filed reports are the simplest way to show ongoing action.

FAQ

Questions we often hear

How many visits a year?

It depends on the site: activity, surroundings, history. The frequency is set after the initial inspection, written into the contract and can be revised.

Is the contract suitable for a co-ownership building?

Yes. For a building, follow-up covers the high-risk common areas (rubbish chute, bin rooms, risers, cellars), and residents can report a problem in their flat between visits.

Are the reports enough for a health inspection?

They bring together what an inspector usually asks for: trap plan, visit dates, findings, products and safety data sheets, corrective actions. They are emailed to you after every visit.

What happens between visits?

You report activity by phone or email and an intervention is booked as a priority. The terms for these extra visits are set out in the contract.

How long is the commitment?

One year, with renewal terms written into the quote. Several sites can be grouped together; each keeps its own plan and schedule.
