Rodent droppings, dead cockroaches, waste water: even once the pests have gone, surfaces still carry bacteria and allergens. A flat between tenants, a cellar or a stockroom needs sanitising before it goes back into use.
The technician first removes visible soiling, then applies an approved biocidal disinfectant: spraying on contact surfaces, fogging for hard-to-reach spaces. The product's contact time is respected and you are told when the rooms can be used again.

Cleaning removes visible dirt; disinfection destroys the micro-organisms left behind, using a biocide given enough time to work. We do both, in that order.
Is there any smell or residue afterwards?
The disinfectants we use evaporate once their contact time is over. One to two hours of airing is usually enough before using the room again.
Will I get written proof?
Yes: the report states the date, the surfaces treated and the products used. You can send it to your landlord or insurer, or show it during an inspection.
