Your questions, before we even visit
Cockroaches first, then rodents, bed bugs and hornets: booking, products, rights, preparation. Short answers for your home or your business.
The essentials
Why do cockroaches keep coming back despite shop-bought products?
Sprays and foggers reach the cockroaches you can see, not those hidden near motors, inside ducts or under skirting boards, nor the eggs sealed in their cases. They often scatter the colony into other rooms. Professional treatment starts by finding the harbourages, then places suitable products there, such as bait gel.
Read the full answer →What is the Repère Protocol?
How we work, in four stages: Locate (torch-in-hand inspection of warm, damp spots, monitoring traps, a map of harbourages), Treat (targeted insect control, or tamper-resistant bait stations for rodents), Check (follow-up visit and trap readings) and Prevent (photo report, advice, sealing gaps, active vigilance). The idea: find the source before treating.
Do you deal with other pests too?
Yes. Cockroaches are our speciality, and the same care goes into rats and mice, bed bugs, ants, fleas and clothes moths, as well as wasp and hornet nests.
Which areas do you cover?
Homes and businesses across the eight départements of Île-de-France: Paris (75), Seine-et-Marne (77), Yvelines (78), Essonne (91), Hauts-de-Seine (92), Seine-Saint-Denis (93), Val-de-Marne (94) and Val-d'Oise (95).
How do I book a visit?
Online: enter the service, floor area and number of visits, and the price including VAT is shown before you confirm anything. Then choose a date and a 2-hour time slot and pay securely. A confirmation follows by e-mail.
What precautions are taken for children and pets?
Our technicians hold the Certibiocide, use only approved products and favour targeted applications: gel dots out of reach, tamper-resistant bait stations, dry steam where it fits. The photo report sets out the precautions to follow after the visit.
What is in the report after the visit?
It arrives by e-mail the same day: harbourages found, with photos, treatments carried out, products used, where the monitoring traps are, hygiene and sealing advice, and the date of the follow-up visit set by the protocol.
Who pays for pest treatment, the tenant or the landlord?
As a rule the landlord: since France's 2018 ELAN law, a rented home must be free of pests, unless the tenant's negligence is shown. The rules are set out in a dedicated answer.
Read the full answer →Do you work for businesses and co-owned buildings?
Yes: restaurants and food trades, shops, offices, hotels, Airbnb hosts, managing agents and landlords. One-off visits, possible outside opening hours, or a vigilance contract with regular visits and reports. In a co-owned building, the managing agent handles common areas and each occupant their own flat.

Cockroach control
View the service →Do I have to empty my cupboards first?
No. Clear the space under the sink and leave access to the back of appliances: the gel goes into hinges, corners and near motors, without touching crockery or food.
Can I stay at home during the gel treatment?
Yes. The gel bait goes in small dots inside the harbourages, with no smell and no blanket spraying: you stay at home, children and pets included. If spot spraying is needed, the technician tells you which room to avoid and how long to air it.
Read the full answer →Can my restaurant stay open?
Yes. The gel is odourless and goes into places out of reach (under worktops, inside motors, in hinges). We often work before service or after closing.
Read the full answer →Why is a follow-up visit planned?
An egg case holds dozens of eggs and withstands most insecticides. The follow-up, two to three weeks later, comes once the nymphs have emerged and before they can breed; the monitoring traps then show where activity remains.
Do shop-bought insecticide sprays help?
They kill the cockroaches they hit but drive the others deeper into the walls and make the gel less attractive. Please put them away a few days before we come.
The cockroaches come from next door. What can I do?
In apartment blocks, cockroaches travel along water risers and shared ducts. We seal the gaps on your side and offer the managing agent or landlord a coordinated treatment of the affected flats.
Rat and mouse control
View the service →How long after rodent control do the rodents disappear?
Activity usually drops over the following days as the bait is eaten. The follow-up visit, 10 to 15 days later, checks the stations; when a building is affected on several floors, an extra visit is often worthwhile.
Read the full answer →Why do mice come back every autumn?
When it turns cold, rodents look for warm shelter and follow scent-marked routes to the same openings. Sealing those gaps is the Prevent step of the Repère Protocol and markedly lowers the risk of a return next season.
Read the full answer →Is the bait a risk for my cat or dog?
The bait sits inside secure stations that an animal cannot open. If you would rather avoid any product, or in a commercial kitchen, we use mechanical traps instead.
What if a smell appears a few days later?
Let us know: at the follow-up the technician finds the area and suggests the simplest fix, removal if it can be reached or treating the odour.
Read the full answer →Bed bug treatment
View the service →Do I need to throw out my mattress?
Rarely. Dry steam followed by a full encasement is enough in most cases. Replacing it is only advised if the mattress is torn, since bed bugs then shelter out of reach inside.
How should I prepare my home before treatment?
Wash bedding and clothes at 60 °C, bag clean textiles and clear the space around beds and skirting boards. On the day, plan to be out for about four hours while rooms dry and air; vulnerable people, pregnant women and pets stay away for that time.
Read the full answer →Why several visits?
Some eggs, tucked into a crevice, escape the first treatment. The follow-ups are timed to the hatching period so young bed bugs are reached before they lay eggs of their own.
Could my neighbours be affected?
It is possible: in apartment blocks, bed bugs move along skirting boards and ducts. Tell your managing agent; inspecting neighbouring flats lowers the risk of a new arrival.

View the service →Do you deal with bees?
No. Bees are vital pollinators, so rather than destroy a swarm we put you in touch with a beekeeper who can collect it.
How do you deal with an Asian hornet nest?
The main nest is often high up in a tree. The technician injects insecticide into its core with a telescopic pole, ideally once the hornets are back inside, then removes the nest if it can be reached. Never try to approach it yourself: Asian hornets defend their colony fiercely.
Read the full answer →Can I stay at home during the job?
Yes. Close the windows on the nest side and keep children and pets indoors for about an hour, then stay clear of the nest until the next day.
Why a fixed price?
The work concerns a nest, not a floor area: it is the same for a studio, a house or a shop. So the price does not depend on the size of the property.
Disinfection and sanitising
View the service →How does cleaning differ from disinfection?
Cleaning removes visible dirt; disinfection destroys the micro-organisms left behind, using a biocide given enough time to work. We do both, in that order.
Is there any smell or residue afterwards?
The disinfectants we use evaporate once their contact time is over. One to two hours of airing is usually enough before using the room again.
Will I get written proof?
Yes: the report states the date, the surfaces treated and the products used. You can send it to your landlord or insurer, or show it during an inspection.
Vigilance contract
View the service →Is the contract suitable for a residential building?
Yes. For managing agents and landlords, monitoring traps and stations are placed in communal areas (cellars, bin stores, rubbish chutes, car parks), and a coordinated treatment of affected flats can be arranged. The log and reports help keep owners informed.
Read the full answer →How many visits a year?
From four for a building with no history to twelve for a commercial kitchen. The frequency is set after the initial visit and can change in line with the readings.
Is the log useful when a hygiene inspector visits?
It brings together the trap and station plan, the readings from each visit, the products applied and the actions taken: enough to show that your pest control plan is being followed.
How long is the commitment?
By default, the contract lasts twelve months. The exact term and cancellation conditions are set out in the proposal we send after the initial visit.
