Rat and mouse control

Secure bait stations, entry gaps sealed, follow-up visit planned.

Time on site

First visit 1 to 1.5 hours, follow-up visit 10 to 15 days later.

Rodents stick to fixed, scent-marked routes between shelter and food. Reading those routes tells us where to place bait and, above all, how they get in: a badly sealed duct, a dried-out drain trap, a gap under a door.

The technician uses secure bait stations that children and pets cannot open, or mechanical traps wherever food is handled. Entry points found during the inspection are then sealed, and the protocol includes a return visit to check how much bait has been taken.

Repère Protocol

The Repère Protocol for this service

Always in the same order: we locate before we treat, we check before we close the job, and we leave you what you need to prevent a return.

  1. 01

    Locate

Droppings, smears and runs read, ducts, drain traps and manholes inspected to find the entry points.

  2. 02

    Treat

Rodent control with secure bait stations fixed along the runs, or mechanical traps in food areas.

  3. 03

    Check

Follow-up visit: every station read, bait topped up or moved if rodents are still active.

  4. 04

    Prevent

Holes filled with steel wool and mortar, vent grilles, door sweeps, photo report and storage advice.

Frequently asked questions

Book a visit →

How long after rodent control do the rodents disappear?

+

Activity usually drops over the following days as the bait is eaten. The follow-up visit, 10 to 15 days later, checks the stations; when a building is affected on several floors, an extra visit is often worthwhile.

Why do mice come back every autumn?

+

When it turns cold, rodents look for warm shelter and follow scent-marked routes to the same openings. Sealing those gaps is the Prevent step of the Repère Protocol and markedly lowers the risk of a return next season.

Is the bait a risk for my cat or dog?

+

The bait sits inside secure stations that an animal cannot open. If you would rather avoid any product, or in a commercial kitchen, we use mechanical traps instead.

What if a smell appears a few days later?

+

Let us know: at the follow-up the technician finds the area and suggests the simplest fix, removal if it can be reached or treating the odour.
