Our work in Argenteuil
Cockroaches in one kitchen in Argenteuil, and soon next door? Our technicians cover the whole town (95100) and the surrounding area in Val-d'Oise, with the same rule: find the source before treating, then send the photo report the same day.
When a third-floor tenant spots cockroaches in the kitchen, the colony is often somewhere else: behind a shared meter, in the riser that serves the whole stack of flats, at the bottom of the rubbish chute. Cockroaches follow the warmth and damp of pipes and ducts, not the boundaries between flats. Treating one home brings a few weeks of relief; finding the shared source settles it for everyone.
Val-d'Oise puts Vexin villages, new towns and housing near the airport zones side by side. In apartment blocks, cockroaches travel along service risers; in the countryside, mice, rats and hornets are the usual reasons to call, especially in late summer. Our technicians know this kind of building, and the inspection in Argenteuil takes it into account from the first visit.
We find the source before we treat
The Repère Protocol always follows the same order: find where the pests live, treat right there, check with monitoring traps, then fill the gaps and advise the occupants.
- 01
Locate
Torch-in-hand inspection of warm, damp common areas (bin room, rubbish chute, risers, boiler room, cellars) and of the kitchens reported. Monitoring traps set, hotspots mapped.
- 02
Treat
Coordinated treatment of shared hotspots and affected flats: gel bait in spots, insect growth regulator, targeted spraying. For rodents, secure numbered bait stations.
- 03
Check
Follow-up visit built into the protocol: monitoring traps read flat by flat, treatment adjusted wherever activity remains.
- 04
Prevent
Photo report, gaps between flats filled (risers, pipe penetrations, traps), advice for residents and active vigilance in common areas.
Cockroaches first, and the rest too
- German cockroaches (kitchens, stacks, risers)
- Oriental cockroaches (cellars, rubbish chutes)
- Bed bugs (adjoining flats)
- Rats and mice (cellars, courtyards, bin rooms)
- Fleas (cellars, empty flats)
- Wasps and hornets (lofts, façades)
Who it's for
- Owner-occupiers
- Tenants
- Residents' councils
- Professional managing agents
- Volunteer managers
- Landlords and letting agents
Who is responsible for what
The règlement sanitaire départemental (local public-health code) requires buildings and their outbuildings to be kept clean and the necessary steps taken against insects and rodents. Common areas are the responsibility of the owners' association, represented by the managing agent.
In a rented flat, the landlord must hand over a home free of pests and parasites (French law of 6 July 1989, amended by the 2018 ELAN law), while the occupant handles day-to-day upkeep. A dated report for each visit lets everyone see what was done, where and when.
Can you look after several buildings in and around Argenteuil?
Yes. Each building has its own plan, schedule and reports, and you keep one point of contact for all your sites in Val-d'Oise.
I'm a tenant with cockroaches: where do I start?
Tell your landlord or the managing agent, especially if neighbours are seeing them too: a shared source is treated at building level. You can also book a visit to your own flat online; the photo report can then be used by the co-ownership.
Does the general meeting have to vote?
A one-off job in common areas usually falls under the managing agent's day-to-day management. Year-round follow-up goes into the annual budget; we supply a detailed quote and a short brief to attach to the meeting notice if the residents' council wants a vote.
Does every flat have to be treated?
Not necessarily. Monitoring traps show which flats and stacks are affected. We treat the shared hotspots and the flats concerned, then widen the scope if the follow-up visit finds activity elsewhere.
