A return visit to check, measure and adjust

The protocol includes a check: monitoring traps read, treatment adjusted if activity remains, advice for what comes next.

Bait gel does not clear a kitchen in an hour: roaches have to eat it and carry it back to the harbourage, and eggs already laid hatch later. A treatment can only be judged after some time. That is the job of the Check stage of the Repère Protocol.

We do not promise that no insect will ever return: roaches can come from a neighbouring flat, a cardboard box or a delivery. Our commitment is to the means: a professional protocol, an on-site check and written advice.

What we do

  • 1

    Date announced

When the protocol includes a check, its date appears on your treatment report.

  • 2

    Monitoring traps read

The technician reads the traps left in place, inspects treated harbourages and checks the sealing work.

  • 3

    Treatment adjusted

If activity remains, he tops up the treatment set out in the protocol and explains what changed.

  • 4

    Shared prevention

Storage, water points, cardboard, gaps to keep an eye on: you know what is in your hands.

How the visit goes

The technician takes the first report and compares: insects caught on the monitoring traps, gel eaten or not, fresh traces, the state of sealed joints and ducts. If activity persists, he adjusts the planned treatment and records why.

It is also a chance to go over the advice with you: what you managed to apply, what still needs fixing and which areas stay under active vigilance.

Why we talk about means, not promises

Some factors are beyond any professional: reinfestation from an untreated flat next door, a second-hand piece of furniture, advice that is hard to follow or a gap you chose to leave open. What we provide is a protocol that is followed through, an on-site check and written recommendations.

If insects show up again after the check, call us: we look at the situation with you, using the reports already sent, and suggest the right next step.

In your home

After the first visit, you are not left on your own: a check is planned and you know how to reduce the risk of a return.

In your shop or premises

For a restaurant, hotel or residential building, the check can lead to an active vigilance contract with regular, documented visits.

Your questions

How long after the treatment is the follow-up?

It depends on the species and the treatment, allowing time for the product to work and for any hatchlings to appear. The date is written on your treatment report.

What if there are still cockroaches at the check?

The technician tops up the treatment set out in the protocol, explains what he finds and records it all in that day's photo report.

Can you promise the cockroaches will never come back?

No, and no honest professional can. We apply a rigorous protocol, seal the planned gaps, check on site and give you precise advice to lower the risk of a return.
